We have bulldogs at the top of our blog because they are the mascot of our school. However, my favorite kind of dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog. I think Cockapoo doggies are cute too!

  3. Hello
    I’m Palestinian librarian
I want to congratulate you to read that your blog was one of the winner of edublog
Could I ask you ” what was the reason for success of your blog?
I mean what things reader like in librarian blogs and what the main role for librarian blogs
    Regards
    heyam

    • Dear Heyam,
Thank you so much for visiting our blog! We were surprised and thrilled to be one of the finalists in the edublog awards. It’s an honor to be categorized with so many terrific library blogs.
I chose to focus our blog on what we do in our library classes. I also have worked to create a world-wide audience of readers because we have a very multi-ethnic demographic at our school. We respond to all visitor comments as quickly as possible. I talk about the blog everytime our kids come to class and they can publish their book reviews. I try to make it more about the students, than me, the librarian.
Every library blog has a different twist and there isn’t one single role of librarian blogs. It’s purely a teacher preference. I also advertise posts on Twitter to get readers and comments.
I hope you will give it a try if you don’t already have a blog!
      Sincerely,
      Julie Hembree

  5. Dear Mrs. Hembree,
You did a good job making a video for Ivan the one and only Ivan really, really really sad. I started to cry it was so sad. It’s like I felt what Ivan went through, it’s really touching. I would be so scared to be Ivan and I would rather die than be treated the way Ivan was treated.

  6. Hi Aunt Julie ,
