Fun Father’s Day Reading

Today was Father’s Day and to celebrate Mr. Hembree and I went to a car show.

Did you know car shows are perfect places to read? Every car has descriptions about the vehicle – the engine size, power, how it was restored, etc. We spent two hours looking and reading! Check out our very first summer reading photos!

Mr. Hembree is the classic example of a person who likes to read, but just not stories. He is a non-fiction reader! He likes to read about cars. He likes to read and learn how to fix something. He likes to read to learn!

  1. Dear Mrs Hembree,

I really loved the photos of Mr Hembree reading. It is just amazing reading can take on different forms. It doesn’t always have to be a novel.

As for a favourite car that I would like to read about at a car show it would have to be a Ford. I am always amazed just how far this car has come though time.

Another form of reading which I enjoy is when I go to the Museum. You seem to always read interesting facts while visiting the Museum.

Happy reading Mrs and Mr Hembree.

    Cheers AA 🙂

    • Dear AA,
Joe had a really great time at the car show! He truly studied every description of every car there, and there were LOTS! Joe will like hearing you are a Ford fan. He is too!

I agree with you about reading at museums, especially art museums. I like learning about the artists and the paintings.

I hope it’s not too rainy there. Only 1/2 day of school left and then summer vacation!
      Your friend,
      Julie Hembree
