    • Dear Alex,
If you would like a picture of you reading, have someone in your family or a friend take a photo and email it to me! It’s that easy!
I don’t know when meet the new teacher time is, but it will be right before school starts in September. I hope you enjoy your summer and keep reading! If you have a cool photo to share, send it to jhembree@lwsd.org.

  2. Dear Mrs Hembree,

Wow I am so impressed I just loved looking a the photos of where your wonderful readers are reading. Talk about cool places!

I loved all your photographs well done everyone!
How cute does Reese look while Megan is reading and giving him a pat at the same time. 🙂

Can’t wait to see more photos so keep reading.

Hope you are having a wonderful summer holiday too as for us down under it really has been a very cold winter.

    From your blogging pal,
    AA.

    • Dear AA,
Thank you for visiting our blog again! I agree that the photos are simply amazing! I love to travel and wish I was along on all of these fabulous vacations!

Reese is a love and thinks it’s just perfect when a child reads to him and pets him at the same time!

I am relaxing on my summer vacation, but the weather has been terrible. Lots of rain and cool weather. It’s hot and sunny all over America, just not here. 🙁 In a few weeks I am going to go to the East Coast and visit family. I am looking forward to the warm weather they are having.

      Stay warm,
      Mrs. Hembree

  3. Dear Mrs Hembree,

I love all the photos they all look awesome.

I have been reading in the car and at home laying onto of my bed.

I am so glad there was no one doing underwater reading. 🙂

Like AA said I can not wait to see more photos of where people find different places to read.

What great places and interesting places your readers find to read there books.
What do you think Mrs Hembree?

    From your pal,
    Bianca.

    • Dear BB,

You know, there must be a way to do underwater reading! Maybe take one of those special water cameras and a laminated poem and read it in the water! It would be a funny photo for sure!

Like you, I am looking forward to more reading photos. Now I have to figure out what kind of prizes the winners should receive. You are always good with ideas. What do you think???

      Kinding of ideas,
      Mrs. Hembree
      PS. What are you reading?

  4. Dear Mrs Hembree,
Thank you for replying back to me.

I just can’t wait to see who wins the competion for the best book picture.

It sure would be funny if someone did do an underwater picture reading.

I know some prizes you can give away. Here are my suggestions.

You could give them a gift Voucher, some books that are popular in your library and as well as a bag of lollies. 🙂
What do you think Mrs Hembree?

    From your pal,
    BB.

  5. Dear Mrs Hembree,
Tracy: I swear every student and teacher and A. G. Bell are so proactive with reading. Everyone loves to read! I’m going to keep checking the blog since students at A. G. Bell have the best book recommendations ever!
Erica: Adventures with reading! Everyone seems to enjoy reading books on vacation!

From you former student and your student
    Tracy, and Erica

    • Dear Tracy and Erica,

What a fabulous compliment! Yes, the teachers at our school LOVE reading! You will definitely have to check back on our recommendations through the school year!

I bought 3-4 books when I was on my trip, which is why my suitcase was so heavy! One of them is TouchBlue by Cynthia Lord. She wrote Rules. It is a signed copy too! I love signed copies of books! It takes place in Maine and I can’t wait to start reading it.

I hope you had a great summer and have an awesome start at your new school. Did you read anything fun or interesting this summer?
      From,
      Mrs. Hembree

      • Dear Mrs Hembree
My sister, Erica, Read the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series
and I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire, Doreamon (a vietnamese book), and I’m currently reading the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yes I really love signed copies of books it makes it special to read.
Mrs. Hembree do you know any good books I should read?

        Sincerely Tracy, and Erica

        • Hi Girls,
I am so glad you did some reading this summer! Did you know that the website Pottermore goes live in the early fall? Then you can find out lots more about the Harry Potter series.

I just finished reading Middle School-The Worst Years of my Life by James Patterson. It is VERY, very funny! If you want something funny, that might be a good choice. The 4th books of Margaret Haddix’s Missing series came out yesterday – Torn: The Missing Book. (sci fic). My favorite book of the summer was Turtle in Paradise by Jennifer Holm (realistic fic). I loved it. If you read it you will be so surprised because it’s a completely different style that when she writes the text for the Babymouse books!
Enjoy the last days of summer!
          Mrs. Hembree
