Poetry Month may be over, but enjoying poetry is something everyone can do all year long. Sometimes, all you need is a really great photograph! Make sure the photo you choose is one either you took yourself, or is a Creative Commons photo. Insert it onto a Powerpoint slide, add some text and you are a poet! Super easy!
We hope you will enjoy this mini FlipSnack book of poems from Mrs. Adair’s students. This link will take you to the full class version.

What kind of photo would you choose for a poem?
What would you write about?
Dear Mrs Hembree,
What another great way to write a poem. This is great for BB has just up a post about how a photograph describes so much and you have put up this awesome post about a flipbook of photographs to enable you to write a poem. Gee great minds think alike don’t you agree Mrs Hembree! 🙂
I photo which I would choose for my poem photograph would have to be a photograph of the Snowy Mountain with wild horses in the back ground.
What photo would you choose Mrs Hembree?
From your pal,
AA
Dear AA,
How funny that BB just put up a post about a photograph at the same time I was publishing our post! What a funny coincidence! I love photography and always carry a camera with me.
I saw a movie once about Snowy Mountain that was set in Australia. Is that the same Snowy Mountain you speak of? I love photos of mountains and the ocean – two of my favorite places.
Have you ever been to Snowy Mountain?
From,
Mrs. Hembree
@ Mrs Hembree,
I love photography too as I love looking at back and white photos. I often go to antique shops and buy old photos.
Yes that is the same Snowy Mountain that I am taking about as that is where I lived on a farm with my family when I was much younger. It was a wonderful time to been able to live in this part of the world. The Snowy Mountains are truly beautiful during the summer and winter.
Hopefully when you visit Australia I hope you get a chance to visit the Snowy Mountain for somehow I know you would love it. 🙂
From your friend,

My poem goes like this.
Little flower growing in the sunlight.
Little flower sprinkle some water.
Little flower growing into a big, big flower.

BB.
