Okay readers, I thought it would be fun to test your research skills! We are going to play “Where in the World is Reese?”
Using your research skills, and using the photo clues, can you figure out where Reese is? Before you venture onto the internet, make sure you have permission from your teacher, or an adult family member! It’s always important to follow online safety rules!
Here is photo # 1 of Reese.
What did you figure out from looking at this photo? Can you do a search yet? Probably not. There aren’t many clues for you to search. If you did a search of dog + beach, you would get millions of hits!
Now here is photo #2—
Does this photo of a shell help you? Maybe! Maybe not! Do you know what kind of shell it is? Do you know where you can find these shells in the world?
Here is clue #3—
Wow – I wonder what that is! Do you know? It’s often found washed up on beaches!
Here is clue #4 —
I think this photo will give you lots of information to use in your search! Use your observation skills to narrow down your search. I think using the information from the photos, and the information you can find on the Bulldog Readers “About Us” page, you could really narrow down your search.
This is a cute picture of Reese. It is at a beach. It is located at worlds longest beach.Don’t know what kind of shell it is.It is seaweed I think.Your bulldog reader -Emily-From ms.V’s class

Hi BB,
Reese is a Bernese Mountain Dog and absolutely loves cold weather. It was a little windy at the beach for him. He also loves kids and works with me as a therapy dog to help young children become better readers.
So, have you figured out which beach Reese is standing on? That is the BIG question! Which one is called The World’s Longest Beach?
Keep Guessing!

Here are the answers to the Where is Reese? question!
Photo #1–Reese, my Bernese Mountain Dog is standing on Long Beach in Washington. Long Beach is 28 miles long and you can drive on it!
Photo #2 – This is a photo of a razor clam. Syon, you had this correct! Thousands of people go to Long Beach to dig razor clams every year.
Photo #3 – This is a piece of kelp, which is a type of seaweed. There is a large kelp “forest” in the cold waters off the coast of Washington. The kelp often washes up on the beaches.
Congratulations to all of you who looked for answers to our question!
