I don’t know what happened, but in October I seemed to have developed an appetite for scary stories! It must have been the influence of Halloween. We now have 3 new stories for those of you who like a good spooky story. These are not gruesome or books that will make you sleep with the light on. Those books keep me from sleeping! These are some good and entertaining ghost stories for readers grade 3 and up. There a ghost dog story by Peg Kehret, a haunted house story by Mary Downing Hahn and a haunted painting in a haunted house story by Jacqueline West called The Shadows. This is book one of the Books of Elsewhere series.
Can you read spooky stories while you are celebrating Thanksgiving and eating turkey? Yes, I think so! Keep Reading! Mrs. Hembree
